5 Staple Pieces You Need This Fall!
Fall is not falling back no time soon, it is certainly here to stay! I don’t know which is more hysterical! The fact that the weather has been shifty from a nice 80 degree clear skies, 40 days to 40 nights, or to a brrr 50 degree in the wee early morning hours. Not to mention, Walmart hiding their Christmas decorations near the gardening area before someone’s grandmother could start prepping the turkey and sweet potato pie for Thanksgiving. Side note: I am still trying to locate my fall clothes! In the meantime, lets jump into these 5 staple pieces you need this fall before the weather really break !
1)PLAID : MARSHA, MARSHA, MARSHA! The 70s are back at it AGAIN with the Brady Bunch feels and Rerun- “What’s Happening” favors. Wool and polyester plaid slacks, cotton flannel, tweed skirts have been circulating in stores. The market has really added hues of yellows, browns, oranges,reds, and cranberry to apparels for a more festive feel. It will take quite an adjustment and a little egh on how to pair up thee plaid items and for what occasion(s). Thank you Marsha Brady for the heads up!
2) ANIMAL PRINTS: Animal prints has been trending for the past month or so. Zara has been giving us a bird’s eye on the plethora of prints to choose from: jaguar lingerie style top, cheetah bodysuit, snakeskin mini skirt, leopard flowy dresses. Shall we say ANIMAL KINGDOM OR WHO’S THE QUEEN OF THE JUNGLE?
3) MILITANT LEATHER BERET: Berets’ are probably one of thee hottest accessories besides fedoras to purchase for the season. They are so universal; however, a militant leather beret will give the contrast ( speaking of texture) and edginess you need to set the tone to your fit. Try pairing it with a navy blue pin-strip blazer, a thin turtleneck, mom jeans, cute booties for some flare!
4) OVERSIZED CABLE KNIT SWEATERS: YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH A SWEATER. I repeat for the people in the back. Oversized Cable knit sweater has never been out of style. This is a great time to stock up on an oversized cable knit sweater(s) while they’re below $30 (fingers crossed). The “best” place to purchase is H&M and thrift stores! With Cable Knit Sweaters, you literally can throw on a jacket be fine or layering.
5) BLAZER DRESSES: Who doesn’t love a blazer dress, especially if its not actually a dress but a jumper! (*squeals) What I love about a blazer dress is overall chic! You can dress it up or dress it down, perfect universal fit. From the embroidery stitching of the collar, double breast flaps, or the displacement of buttons, a Blazer dress is a must have in your shopping cart. Click that “proceed to checkout” girl!
