Veni Vidi Vintage: Hottest Vintage Stores to Shop in Baltimore
Veni Vidi Vintage
If you’re like me, finding a BOMB piece is like a wining lottery ticket… well maybe a scratch off for $200. The trench coat you’ve been eyeing for a minute, or the autumn corduroy two piece mini skirt set is in your size (after it has been sold out 3x) , and lets not forget the infamous riding boots with the chocolate bottoms are now 50 % with an additional 25 %! The best part is the mark down price(s) or thee “ one of a kind” piece. However, it can be a little daunting not knowing where to go when you don’t want to pay retail prices or out of season items.
From retro 90s windbreakers, vinyl high pants, silk vintage Chanel scarfs, the Masai African tradition necklace, brass knuckle rings, and sequins pencil skirts. We are racking up on the hottest vintage stores to shops in Baltimore for women and men!
1. Six2Six Society- (Federal Hill) I love Six2Six Society! The aesthetic is geared towards street style, contemporary fashion. And the variety is endless; NBA basketball sweatshirts, graphic tees, windbreaker, spray painted denim jackets, high waist denim pants, 50’s suitcases.I found this bomb camouflage coat with the lining! A REAL ARMY COAT with the LINING Y’ALL! It is so difficult to find a coat with a thick lining! The vintage store is more than just a store. Six2Six Society is full of live entertainment, art exhibits, and pop up shop(s).
2.Illicit Rag Vintage- (Towson/Northern Parkway)- If you’re looking for Trindad James Shirts, Tommy Hilfiger windbreakers, 80s’ leather jackets, then Illicit Vintage is the place to be. It’s smack in the middle between Towson and Loch Raven area. It’s known for illicit and creative style, paying homage to all fashion eras. This past year, there has been networking events, spoken word artist, and a block party. Last year, I purchased a silk pink floral kimono piece for AfroPunk 2017, and paired it with of platform suede sandals.
3.Keepers Vintage(Mt.Vernon). Keepers Vintage is so cozy and refreshing! I love their one of kind pieces, that I will never find such as the colorful Masai necklace. Great place to find outerwear items such as different style coats: corduroy, leather jackets, Keepers Vintage house new local vendors at their location as well.
4. The Salvation Army ( York Rd and LibertyRd)- This is not personal/intimate vintage store; however, they have some nice items at this specific location! The hidden gem! three words: High Waist Jeans! With the Salvation Army, you don’t even have to search, since everything is already well organized and color coordinated. I found a pair of high waist baggy jeans for $2! At the Liberty Road location, I scored on a Ralph Lauren Polo corduroy black coat. The buttons have a polish wooden texture with a hood! I got it for $ 20 plus my steamboat sunglasses for $2. The best day to shop for discounted prices is Wednesday ( unless they’ve change). You can really do a good clean up! If the rep ask for your zip-code, just use the location zip (for the York Rd location). You’ll receive a slight discount!
5. Buffalo Exchange- (Georgetown, NYC)- Good Finds! You will find high end brands for cheap. Repeat: You’ll find high end brands for cheap. I’ve been to the Georgetown location once. I usually go to the Buffalo Exchange store in NYC. Each location is different, few stores have more items than the other. One location had a row of denim jackets, hockey jerseys, college and NBA basketball sweatshirts. Four years ago, I purchased a brand new J.Crew strapless A-Line red/ white dress. I wore it on my first editorial fashion look book.
