Baltimore Sweet Bites
Summer 1995-99 were the golden years for most 90s kids. Pip, my camp director, would have a gallon of red Kool-Aid loaded with Domino sugar to make her frozen cups. Bum-rushing, grinning, scraping coins just to stand in line yelling ” let me get two frozen cups”. We would toast to the good life, and run back outside: playing “down by the river” hand game, making gimp bracelets, and building a moat around the see-saw. A 90s summer special to remember!
But I have to admit,
Coming home from summer camp to a waffle ice cream sandwich fixed by my mother was love! And my great aunt sweet potato casserole will give any grandma a run for her money. However, one thing is for sure, two things for certain, Betty Crocker “ain’t” got nothing on Baltimore’s sweets.
Here are a few of my “Baltimore Sweet Bites” I have tried over the past year(s), and a few would love to *try.
