“ Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful. And since we’ve got no place to go….

*record needle screeching..

Please Mother Nature.. DO NOT LET IT SNOW!

I am an essential employee, still have to go to work, dress appropriately and accordingly. So in that case…

Gather up your gloves, grab your long johns, and double wrap your scarf, I am giving you the 3 Outerwear Pieces You Need For The Cold Winter.

  1. Colorful Peacoat- I live for a colorful peacoat. It gives off the DRAMATIC EFFECT! I can dress it up or dress it down with jeans or slacks for professional attire. I have purchased this red peacoat from ZARA last summer for $50, which was marked down. I wanted to do an all-black theme; a black cotton bodysuit and black pants with red+white stripes from ZARA. The red and white stripes give me the jogger-sweat and sporty look I’ve been searching for. I love how these pants feel; they hug my waistline and it’s not cheap fabric. I opt out for the typical black pointy 4inch heel and pair the fit with an Aldo mesh black boot instead.

  2. Earth-tone Teddy Coats- I do not own a Teddy coat (*sigh). Lately, I’ve been eyeing a few on social media. My faves thus far are the camel, chocolate, and autumn orange long midi teddy coats. You can purchase them at Target, Nordstrom, Amazon, ASOS, TopShop, H&M, Urban Outfitters, Free People, Forever 21, and etc. It is such a cute casual coat to hang out with your friends or more shopping. The millennial women are really giving the teddy coats a “run for their money” with these creative fits on Instagram. And I am so in awe with them all! From turtlenecks to graphic tees, chunky boots, cowboy boot, white ankle boots, ripped boyfriend jeans, Scully hats, and the whole nine, I love the variations and versatility of how the teddy coats are being worn this season.

  3. Crop Bubble Coat- Now, Bubble coats have been around for a long time just some alterations. The “new-new” style bubble coat is now bright colors and latex texture. We are talking about apple red, powder blue, neon yellow, bubblegum pink, and even metallic. Last fall, I was able to experience the Flower Fashion show in DC. Well-known DC native @wizzolx showcased his 2018 Museum of Flowers Outerwear Collection for everyone to witness. The theme was … you guess it...BUBBLE COATS, in every shade and color. My favorite was the metallic bubble coat with the elongated collar! Currently, Museum of Flower Collection theme is hologram sequins, 3D, and colorful floral. The Flower Fashion 2019 Fashion is schedule for February 8th in DC.

Well there you have it, the 3 Outerwear Pieces You Need For the Cold Winter!
